The Flowery Broken Orange Pekoe is the broken OP, bolder and more direct. The broken leaf releases its aromas faster and gives the cup more body. A tea of character, no frills.
Ingredients
Orthodox Flowery Broken Orange Pekoe black tea, Sri Lanka (Ceylon), direct sourcing. Pure grade, no additions.
Tasting Notes
Deep amber liquor. Pronounced malt from the first sip, bold and direct body. Slightly floral undertone, a trace of the grade. More intense than OP, less raw than BOP. The mid-range cup that never disappoints.
OP vs FBOP
OP uses long whole leaves, delicate and nuanced. FBOP is the same leaf, broken: more extraction, more body, less subtlety. Two ways of expressing the same terroir.
