Flowery Broken Orange Pekoe is the OP, broken: bolder, more direct. The broken leaf releases its aromas faster and gives the cup its body. A tea of character, no frills.
Composition
Orthodox Flowery Broken Orange Pekoe black tea, Sri Lanka (Ceylon), directly sourced. Pure grade, no additions.
Tasting
Deep amber cup. Pronounced malt from the first sip, a frank and direct body. Slightly floral base, a trace of the grade. More intense than the OP, less raw than the BOP. The mid-range cup that never disappoints.
OP vs FBOP
OP uses long whole leaves: delicate and nuanced. FBOP is the same leaf, broken: more extraction, more body, less subtlety. Two ways of expressing the same terroir.
