Origin Tea
Orange Pekoe is the benchmark grade of orthodox black teas. Straight from Sri Lanka, nothing added. Long, whole, hand-picked leaves. An amber cup, a frank attack, a clean finish.
Composition
Orthodox Orange Pekoe black tea, Sri Lanka (Ceylon), directly sourced. Whole leaves, no additions of any kind.
Tasting
Golden amber cup. Frank attack with the light malt typical of the OP grade. Warm woody base, clean finish. Medium body, a balanced cup, neat or with a drop of milk.
The OP Grade
Orange Pekoe designates a leaf size: long, whole, picked just below the bud. These are the leaves that yield the most delicate and nuanced teas of the black range.
